Dear Buckeye Nation,
I can't believe my four years at Ohio State have come to an end. It feels like just yesterday I was a little girl chasing foul balls at Buckeye Field, watching the Ohio State Softball team play the sport I love like they were superstars. Back then, I could never have imagined that one day, I'd be the one stepping onto that same field with the name of my home state proudly displayed across my chest. Being a Buckeye was a dream—and I'm so grateful God made it a reality. I've worn scarlet and gray since the day I was born. On my very first visit to Ohio State, the coaches told me this school offered something no other program could: the chance to be a Hometown Hero. That's when I knew—Ohio State was, is, and always will be home.
What makes Ohio State so special is the people. I've met the most incredible friends, teammates, coaches, professors, and mentors here. The staff at Ohio State pours into us in ways that make it nearly impossible not to succeed. The students bring so much joy and energy—it's contagious. Every class introduced me to new friends, every football game left me hoarse from cheering, and every exam was preceded by late-night study sessions that somehow included more laughter than actual studying. I couldn't have prayed for a better college experience. Ohio State has given me opportunities I never dreamed of, including two internships I found through university resources. And I'm thrilled to share that my journey with Ohio State isn't over just yet—I've accepted a position within the Athletic Department that will allow me to keep working alongside amazing people in the field I love. Your support helps make experiences like mine possible. Thank you for being part of the Buckeye family and for investing in our futures. So many of the opportunities I've had wouldn't exist without you. Your generosity is truly making a difference—and it's changing lives.
