Webster Named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State field hockey graduate student Makenna Webster has earned the first Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week award of the season, announced by the conference on Tuesday.
Webster had a monster week as the No. 13 Buckeyes went 2-0 on their opening weekend.
In a 7-0 shutout win at Ball State on Friday, Webster led the Buckeyes with a then-career-high four goals scored.
Webster followed that up with a six-goal performance in a 9-3 victory over Kent State on Sunday, setting an Ohio State field hockey single game scoring record. She also had one assist in the game.
On the week, Webster had 10 goals, one assist and 21 points.
The Buckeyes are back in action this weekend, hosting the Big Ten/ACC Challenge at Buckeye Varsity Field. Ohio State faces Virginia at 4:00 p.m. on Friday and Syracuse at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
