COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's golf team will head to Toledo for its second event of the season, competing in the Inverness Intercollegiate hosted by the University of Toledo. The 54-hole tournament begins Monday, September 15, with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start for the opening 36 holes. Play will conclude Tuesday, September 16, with the final round beginning at 8:30 a.m. off holes No. 1 and No. 10.Â
- Ohio State's lineup this week will be Kary Hollenbaugh, Matilde Santilli, Nellie Ong, Sophie Eppelstun, and Mandy Song. Marina Joyce-Moreno will be playing as an individual. Â
- Inverness Club is one of the nation's premier championship venues, having hosted four U.S. Opens, two PGA Championships, two U.S. Senior Opens, a U.S. Amateur, a U.S. Junior Amateur, and most recently the 2021 Solheim Cup. The storied course is also set to welcome the 2027 U.S. Women's Open and the 2029 U.S. Amateur.Â
- The Buckeyes competed in the Folds of Honor Collegiate last week, where senior Kary Hollenbaugh led the way with a top-10 finish. This was the 15th Top 10 finish of her career. She fired a steady 71 (-1) in the final round, finishing at 2-over par for the event.Â
- Hollenbaugh, Nellie Ong, and Marina Joyce-Moreno have been named to the Big Ten Players to Watch List, highlighting the trio among the conference's top talent entering the 2024–25 season.Â
- Following the Inverness Collegiate, Nellie Ong will represent England's women's squad at the prestigious Espirito Santo Trophy, part of the World Amateur Team Championships, taking place October 1–4, 2025, at Tanah Merah Country Club in Singapore. Â
