Buckeyes open Big Ten competition at Michigan State Sept. 19

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State (3-3) scored a pair of first half goals and never looked back in a 4-0 win at Butler (2-5) Saturday at the Sellick Bowl in Indianapolis.

The match was the final nonconference contest prior to the start of Big Ten play next Friday at Michigan State.

Marko Borkovic got things started with a goal in the 20', his second of the year and 12^th career score. Assists were credited to Joel Demian, the first as a Buckeye and of his career, and Thomas Gilej. It was Gilej's second career assist.

Borkovic then assisted on Ohio State's next goal in the 24' on a Nick McHenry goal. Luciano Pechota also was credited with an assist. McHenry has two career scores, both this season. Borkovic upped his career assist total to 13 while Pechota, with another second-half assist, also has 13.

Nyle Waugh scored his first career goal in the 53^'to start the scoring in the second half.
Tanner Creech followed with his first goal of the season and fourth as a Buckeye from a feed provided by Pechota in the 54'.
Max Trejo was in goal for the Buckeyes against the Bulldogs. He faced six shots and recorded three saves. The shutout was his second of the year and 14^th over his career. He has a 3-2 record this season.
