Buckeyes take on Temple Sunday in Wolstein Classic Final

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State (1-1) earned its first win of the season Thursday with a 1-0 win over Oakland (0-2-1) in the 2025 Wolstein Classic at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.

Will Arnesen scored his first goal as a Buckeye following a transfer from Old Dominion to give the Buckeyes a 1-0 lead in the 55'. Nick Skubis was credited with the assist.

Arnesen, a junior forward, has seven career goals. Skubis, now in his second year at Ohio State, has two career assists.
Ohio State is 20-9-8 all-time in the Wolstein Classic, now in its 19^th year.
In the first game of the event, No. 25 Dayton and Temple battled to a scoreless draw.
Senior goalkeeper Max Trejo got the start and recorded the shutout. He is 1-1 on the season and now owns 13 career shutouts.
