 COLUMBUS, Ohio – Seven former Ohio State men's lacrosse players will compete in the 2025 Premier Lacrosse League Playoffs set to start this weekend. The playoffs open with quarterfinal games played Saturday in Minneapolis.

Buckeyes In the Playoffs
Terefenko and the Outlaws are the top seed in the Western Conference with a 7-3 regular season record, earning the spot in the semifinals. Terefenko was named a nominee for the 2025 George Boiardi Hard Hat Award, which recognizes the best short-stick defensive midfielder in the league. He leads PLL SSDMs with eight points and 142 touches in 10 games played this year. He's added 18 ground balls and two caused turnovers on the campaign. Â

The Redwoods, led by first-year head coach Anthony Kelly ('03), finished second in the west with a 5-5 regular season record. The team's five wins tie for second most in the club's seven-year history. Kelly was named one of three nominees for the Dick Edell Coach of the Year award. Also on the Redwood's roster entering the playoffs is rookie Connor Cmiel.

Justin Inacio leads not just the third-seeded Carolina Chaos (5-5), but the entire league, with a .609 win percentage at the faceoff X. He is fourth overall with 72 ground balls in the regular season. He is joined on the roster by rookie Greg Langermeier, who has played in nine games this year and recorded eight ground balls, four caused turnovers and two points.

The Waterdogs, third in the Eastern Conference, also have two Buckeyes on the roster in Marcus Hudgins and Ben Randall. Randall leads the team, and is tied for third in the league, with 13 caused turnovers on the season. Hudgins' nine caused turnovers in seven games played is tied for second on the team. The Waterdogs enter the playoffs 4-6 on the year.
