Ohio State Seeded Fourth, Hosts NCAA Tournament First Round Sunday

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men's lacrosse team is NCAA Tournament bound.
After earning the Big Ten's automatic qualification by winning the league tournament Saturday night, Ohio State earned the four seed in the 2025 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Tournament and will host Notre Dame in the first round of the tournament Sunday, May 11 at noon from Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium.
The game will be televised on ESPN2.
The winner of the matchup between the Buckeyes and Fighting Irish will advance to the NCAA Quarterfinals, which will be played May 17-18 at Navy-Marine Corp Stadium in Annapolis, Md. This year the tournament semifinals and final will be held at Gilette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass. May 24-26.
Tickets for Sunday's game will go on sale Monday, May 5 at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased online HERE or by calling the Athletic Ticket Sales Office at 1-800-GOBUCKS.
The Buckeyes are 14-2 on the year. The team picked up its latest win last night, defeating No. 3 Maryland, 14-10, in the Big Ten Tournament championship game to win the program's first Big Ten Tournament title. Ohio State also earned the league's regular season title for the first time this season.
Entering the tournament, Ohio State has beaten all five Big Ten teams and each of last year's final four teams. The program earned seven ranked wins with two coming against top five opponents.
Saturday's game marks the first NCAA Tournament game hosted in Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium, which opened in 2023.

This will be Ohio State's eighth appearance in the NCAA Tournament and fifth under Myers. The team earned bids in 2003, 2004, 2008, 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2022. Ohio State has advanced out of the first round of the tournament in four of its last five appearances and in 2017 the program played in the national championship game.
