COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sunday, 212 current and former Ohio State student-athletes received degrees as the University held Spring Commencement ceremonies in Ohio Stadium.

- Graduating today from the football team is three-time First Team All-Big Ten Conference defensive end JT Tuimoloau, with his degree in communications. He was an anchor along the line for the national champion Buckeyes, who also sported the nation's No. 1 ranked defense.
- Two more starters on the 2024 national champion football team are graduating: center Carson Hinzman, with his degree in sport industry, and defensive back Jordan Hancock, with his degree in human development and family science.
- The father-son duo of Lorenzo Styles Sr. and Lorenzo Styles Jr. are also graduating today. Senior is still one of the Top 10 tacklers in Ohio State history after a three-year playing career between 1992-94. Junior is entering his third season with the Buckeyes after transferring from Notre Dame after his freshman season. Â
- Twelve members (Ari Allen, Henry Blake, Dante Bowen, Mason Bregman, Taji Flynn, Braden Glushakow, Greg Langermeier, Alex Marinier, Shane O'Leary, Ed Shean, Griffin Turner and Bobby Van Buren) of the 2025 Big Ten regular season and tournament champion men's lacrosse team will receive degrees. The group helped the team to its first Big Ten title in program history with a 4-1 record in conference play and to the program's first Big Ten Tournament title Saturday evening.
- 2024 Big Ten beam champion Tory Vetter is a two-time All-Big Ten honoree for the Buckeyes and owns a share of the program's all-around record.
- Men's gymnast Kameron Nelson capped his collegiate career with an NCAA vault championship this season - the program's first NCAA event title since 2019 and first NCAA vault title since 2007. He was also a finalist for the Nissen Emery Award - the most prestigious men's gymnastics award in the country. He is a six-time NCAA All-American and three-time CGA regular season All-American, as well as a -time Big Ten vault champion.
- Four members of the 2024 national champion women's hockey team are earning their degrees. Among the group are Riley Brengman, Jenna Buglioni and Amanda Thiele, who played five seasons at Ohio State and in that time helped the team to five Frozen Four and four national title game appearances in as many years and two national championships.
- Will Buford was a three-time men's basketball All-Big Ten honoree and finished his career as the No. 3 all-time leading scorer in program history, matching Jerry Lucas with 1,990 career points. The Toledo, Ohio native was part of three Big Ten Championship teams and was a member of the 2012 NCAA Final Four team.
- Artistic swimming national champions Marian Catahan and Hannah Heffernan will graduate Sunday. The duo were members of the 2022 and 2023 championship teams. Heffernan, an All-American, swam in the Buckeyes' 2022 national championship team routine.
- Wrestler Dylan D'Emilio is a five-time NCAA qualifier. He earned his best seed at 149 pounds in 2025 at No. 13 and earned All-America honors for the second time in his career last season with a fourth-place finish to help the Buckeyes finish tied for fifth overall at the national tournament.
- Kami Kortokrax is a two-time softball All-Big Ten selection who has started all 211 games of her career. This season, she's batting a career-best .359 with 19 home runs, 46 RBI and 55 runs scored. Less than two weeks ago, she tied a program record when she hit three home runs in a 15-5 win at Ohio.
- Damien Carfagna of the men's hockey team is earning his degree following a junior season when he was an Honorable Mention All-Big Ten selection and Big Ten All-Tournament Team honoree. He helped the Buckeyes to Big Ten Tournament championship and NCAA Tournament appearances and was one of the top leading scorers among defensemen in the Big Ten. Carfagna signed an entry-level contract with the NHL Edmonton Oilers following the NCAA season.
- Addie Engel is a two-time Big Ten women's cross country champion and was the 2022 Big Ten Athlete of the Year. An All-American in 2022 when she finished 10th at the NCAA Championships, Engle was a three-time First Team All-Big Ten and All-Great Lakes Region honoree. She helped the 2022 Buckeyes to the best NCAA team finish in school history and also was a two-time individual qualifier to the national meet.
- Women's fencer Alina Lee was a four-time NCAA qualifier and two-time All-American. She earned second team honors in 2025 after a fifth-place finish and was an honorable mention selection in 2022. Fencing First Team All-Americans Paul Veltrup, the NCAA men's epee runner-up in 2023, and Dasha Myroniuk, who finished tied for third in women's foil at the 2024 NCAA Championships, earn their degrees this semester. The trio earned All-CCFC honors and were part of conference championship teams.
- Women's swimmer Nyah Funderburke has won Big Ten titles in the 100 back, the 200 free relay, the 200 medley relay and the 400 medley relay. She is a three-time All-American in the 200 free relay and the 400 medley relay. She has been named to the All-Big Ten First Team twice and was Ohio State's female nominee for the Jackie Robinson Community & Impact Award. She represented the Buckeyes in the Big Life Series: Selma to Montgomery twice.Â
- The women's tennis trio of seniors Shelly Bereznyak, Sydni Ratliff and Dani Schoenly all are earning degrees Sunday. The Buckeyes captured the program's first Big Ten Tournament title since 2021 this spring and advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament Saturday, the 11th straight NCAA appearance for the squad.
- Luke Bendick continues to rank among the top three pole vaulters in program history in both indoor and outdoor competition. He won the Big Ten indoor pole vault title in 2022, earning All-Big Ten First Team honors on his was to claiming his spot on the USTFCCCA All-American Second Team the same season. Luke was a member of the 2022 outdoor Big Ten Championship team.
- A four-year member of the women's golf team, Faith Choi has earned 10 top-20 tournament finishes in her career. She was the silver medalist at the Big Ten Championships her freshman season and earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors this season.
- Leah Bertrand is a seven-time USTFCCCA All-American, including three first team accolades. She has also won five Big Ten Championships and was a part of a Big Ten Championship record-setting 4x100m relay team in 2023. She holds the program records in the 60m, 4x100m relay and sprint medley relay and ranks second in the 100m. She's been a member on multiple Big Ten Championship teams while at Ohio State, including a team that set the record for most team points in Big Ten Championship history in 2022 with 185.5 points. Bertrand represented Trinidad & Tobago in the 2024 Olympics and reached the finals of the 100m.Â
- Men's diver Clayton Chaplin is a two-time All-American in both the 3-meter dive and the platform dive and he has also earned All-American honors in the 1-meter dive. Chaplin has qualified for the NCAA Championships all four of his seasons at Ohio State.
