Hollenbaugh Advances to Final Stroke Play Round of NCAA Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women's golf junior Kary Hollenbaugh has advanced to the final stroke play round of the NCAA Championships.
Hollenbaugh is tied for 37th place with a 54-hole score of 219 (+3). She shot 75 (+3) in the third round on Sunday. She birdied seven holes over the first three rounds and had 38 pars. Hollenbaugh is one of nine individuals not on advancing teams that will move on to the final round of stroke play to determine the NCAA individual champion.
In their first NCAA Championships appearance since 2018, the Buckeyes tied for 24th place with a 36-hole team score of 900 (+36). Ohio State shot 308 (+20) in the third round on Sunday and missed the cut for the final round of stroke play, which saw the top 15 teams advance. Over three rounds, the Buckeyes had 21 birdies and their 180 pars were seventh-best among the 30-team field.
Faith Choi placed 91st with a 36-hole score of 226 (+10). She shot 78 (+6) in the final round. Choi had four birdies and 38 pars during the tournament.
Marina Joyce-Moreno shot 82 (+10) on Sunday to finish with an overall score of 232 (+16). She tied for 132nd place and had four birdies and 34 pars over the course of play.
Nellie Ong carded a 76 (+4) in the final round to place tied for 134th with a 36-hole score of 233 (+17). Ong had three birdies and 35 pars.
Mandy Song shot 79 (+7) on Sunday. She finished with a total score of 234 (+18) to place tied for 138th. She had three birdies and 35 pars.
The final stroke play round of the NCAA Championships will take place on Monday, May 19 and will air on Golf Channel. Hollenbaugh will tee off at 1:12 p.m. PT/4:12 p.m. ET.
