COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 17 Buckeyes raced in Indianapolis Saturday the 2025 Big Ten Rowing Championships at the Indianapolis Rowing Center. They will send six boats to finals Sunday.Â
The opening heats Saturday began early at 8:02 a.m. due to weather in the Indianapolis area with the 1V8 races. The last race began at 10:12 with the 4V8.Â

The 1V8 boat started the morning off with a third place finish to advance to the Grand Final Sunday. The 1V4, 2V4, 3V4 and 3V8 boats all finished second in their respective heats to also advance to Grand Finals Sunday. The 4V8 boat picked up a first place finish to end the day and advance to Sunday.Â
Finals start at 9:02 a.m. on Sunday with the 4V8 races. The final race will begin at 11:38 for the 1V8 Grand Final. The awards ceremony will follow at 1 p.m.

With the addition of USC, UCLA and Washington, the league championship is now a two-day event with 11 conference teams competing for both team and individual boat titles.

Ohio State took fourth at the 2024 Big Ten Rowing Championships. The Buckeyes took first in the 2V4 race.

The Buckeyes will look to advance to the 2025 Rowing Championship May 30-June 1 in Princeton, NJ.
