The women’s tennis team won the Big Ten tournament over the weekend in California with a thrilling, 4-3, win over Michigan in a marathon title match. The win for the Buckeyes, now 21-3 on the year, was their fourth tournament title under coach Melissa Schaub (2016-17-21-25).




The softball team last week swept Purdue, extended its win streak to 10 consecutive games, reached 40 wins for the first time since 2009 and broke the Big Ten record for most home runs in a season (now at 130) while improving to 41-10-1 on the year and 14-5 in the Big Ten.

The men’s volleyball team’s fine run late in the season – seven consecutive wins – came to an end in the title match of the MIVA tournament with a loss to Loyola Chicago, and the team finishes the season with an 18-11 record.




The men’s tennis team had its 19-match winning streak end with a 4-3 loss to UCLA in the title match of the Big Ten Conference tournament, hosted by the Buckeyes.

The men’s golf team placed fifth for the second consecutive year at the Big Ten Championships, held this past weekend at the Baltimore (Md.) Country Club.



The baseball team (11-30, 3-18 Big Ten) picked up two wins last week, including a Big Ten win over Rutgers, and prepares to host Michigan in a three-game set this weekend at Bill Davis Stadium.

The rowing team completed its regular season by winning six races against Princeton, Tennessee and Syracuse in a regatta in New Jersey.

Highlights of the men’s and women’s track & field team’s competition at the Drake Relays and Louisville Invite included wins for the women’s 4x100 relay team and pole vaulter Sophie Fong in Des Moines and a discus win in Louisville for Tanner Watson.
