Buckeyes Bring in Another Mr. Basketball in Transfer Gabe Cupps

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State officially welcomes in another Ohio Mr. Basketball as Indiana transfer Gabe Cupps will join the program for the 2025-26 season.
Cupps was the 2022 Ohio Mr. Basketball as he led Centerville to back-to-back state title games in 2021 and 2022. At Indiana, Cupps played parts of two seasons, appearing in 37 total games.
He was thrust into a big role right away as a freshman in 2023-24, playing in 33 games and making 22 starts in 2023-24. He averaged 2.6 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists in 21.7 minutes per game that season, which included an 11-point, five-rebound game vs. Auburn.
This past season, he played in just four games as he dealt with an injury. He will likely receive a medical redshirt and will have three years of eligibility remaining.
