
Ohio State, Hollenbaugh Lead After 36 Holes of Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 17 Ohio State women's golf team and junior Kary Hollenbaugh are in first place after the first two rounds of the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational on Saturday at the OSU Scarlet Course.
The Buckeyes are in first place with a 36-hole team score of 585 (+9). They have a six-stroke lead on second-place Kent State. Ohio State led the field of 13 teams in par 3 scoring (3.20), par 4 scoring (4.15), eagles (two) and pars (114).
Hollenbaugh fired two under-par rounds on Saturday with a 70 (-2) in round one and a 69 (-3) in round two. She led the field of 69 players in par 3 scoring (2.88) and par 4 scoring (3.85). She had seven birdies and is tied for the lead in pars with 27. Hollenbaugh has carded a team-best 11 rounds in the 60s this season.
Nellie Ong opened the day with a career-best 68 (-4) in round one. Ong had an eagle on the 12th hole in round one. She shot 75 (+3) in round two and is in fourth place with a score of 143 (-1). Ong had seven birdies on the day.
Faith Choi carded rounds of 76 (+4) and 72 (E). She is tied for seventh place with a 36-hole score of 148 (+4). She is tied for the lead in pars with 27 and she birdied three holes.
Mandy Song shot 80 (+8) in the first round and 75 (+3) in the second round. She eagled the 12th hole in round one. She finished the day tied for 21st place with a score of 155 (+11).
Marina Joyce-Moreno carded rounds of 82 (+10) and 77 (+5). She is tied for 39th with a 36-hole score of 159 (+15).
Kavya Ajjarapu and Chloe Lam are competing as individuals. Ajjarapu shot rounds of 79 (+7) and 78 (+6) and is tied for 30th place with an overall score of 157 (+13). Lam carded an 81 (+9) and a 77 (+5). She is tied for 37th with a 36-hole score of 158 (+14).
