
Fyock, McKenna Tabbed B1G Players of the Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State men's lacrosse senior midfielder Jack McKenna and sophomore goaltender Caleb Fyock were named Big Ten players of the week, the conference announced Tuesday. Fyock is the specialist of the week and McKenna is the offensive player of the week.
For the second game in a row, Fyock put up a career-high mark in goal for the Buckeyes in the win over Rutgers last weekend. He finished the game with a career-best 19 stops in the 13-11 victory for a .633 save percentage on the day. The Bowie, Md. native picked up three ground balls in the win, his and the team's 10th consecutive.
McKenna had one of his best games as a Buckeye on his senior day. He tallied five points on two goals and three assists for his most points recorded in a game of his two-year Ohio State career. The Fairfield, Conn. native's two goals came on three shots. He added two ground balls in the game.
The duo helped the Buckeyes improve to 10-1 on the year and 2-0 in their Big Ten schedule with the win over the Scarlet Knights. The win marked the program's best 11-game start to a season since 1978 and the fifth 10-game win streak in its history.
The award is the first of his career for McKenna and Fyock's second.
