Buckeyes Turn in Three All-American Performances on Night Two of NCAA Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 13 Ohio State men's swimming and diving team turned in three Honorable Mention All-American performances on the second day of the NCAA Championships on Thursday.
Tristan Jankovics placed eighth in the consolation final of the 200 IM to earn Honorable Mention All-American recognition. He finished in a time of 1:41.38.
Freshman Matt Klinge raced to a sixth-place finish in the consolation final of the 50 free. He touched the wall at 18.96 and earned Honorable Mention All-American status.
In the 200 free relay, the team of Klinge, Daniel Baltes, Mario McDonald and Tomas Navikonis finished in 1:15.35. The Buckeyes placed ninth and earned Honorable Mention All-American honors.
After two days of competition, the Buckeyes are in 13th place with 38 points.
The NCAA Championships continue Friday, March 28-Saturday, March 29 in Federal Way, Wash. Prelims will begin at 1:00 p.m. ET each day and finals will get underway at 9:00 p.m. ET each day.
