
Marinier, White Named B1G Players of the Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State men's lacrosse senior attackman Alex Marinier and freshman midfielder Liam White were named Big Ten players of the week, the conference announced Tuesday. Marinier picks up his third Offensive Player of the Week award while White earns his first career conference award with the Freshman of the Week nod.
Marinier scored a team-high five goals in the team's 15-11 win over Denver. The game marked the sixth time this season he has recorded a hat trick and his third consecutive game with multiple goals scored. The Burlington, Ontario native leads the team with a career-high 29 goals this season and paces the Big Ten with 3.22 goals per game. Marinier added a ground ball and caused turnover in Sunday's game.
White tallied a goal and an assist in the team's first win at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium since 2009. He has a goal in the last three games for the Buckeyes, including the game-tying goal in the win at Notre Dame, and six goals on the year. The Western Springs, Ill. native tallied his second career multi-point game in Sunday's win over the Pioneers.
