Buckeyes Compete at North Regionals

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Ohio State artistic swimming team is set to compete at the 2025 North Regional Championship on Saturday, Feb. 22. The meet will be held at the Michael H. Jones Natatorium on the campus of Eastern Michigan University.Â
Last Time Out
The Buckeyes won each routine category in the meet at Florida last weekend. Hannah Heffernan finished first in solo with Scarlett Finn in second place. The duet of Leonie Corbeil and Janneke Dirven won the category followed by a second-place finish from Daniella Molano Arango and Gabriella Molano Arango. In trio, Corbeil, Dirven and Finn were the lone routine to compete. The team routine of Corbeil, Dirven, Finn, Heffernan, Daniella Molano Arango, Gabriella Molano Arango, Keana Hunter and Taylor Sullivan outscored the Gators.Â
2025 Buckeyes
The Buckeyes return 13 members of the 2024 team and welcome nine newcomers to the roster this season. Hannah Heffernan, Daniella Molano Arango and Gabriella Molano Arango return as All-American performers from last season. Also returning to the Buckeye roster is Ruby Remati, who took the 2024 season to train with Team USA. Remati is a national champion in duet, trio and A Figures for the Buckeyes and helped the team to consecutive institutional national titles in 2022 and 2023.
Remati is joined by her 2024 U.S. Olympic team teammate Keana Hunter on the Buckeye roster this season. Freshman Scarlett Finn also made her Olympic debut in 2024 competing for Team Canada.
Head coach Holly Vargo Brown is in her 13th season at the helm of the Buckeyes. Vargo Brown is assisted by Monica Velazquez-Stiak, who is in her third season on Ohio State's coaching staff.Â
