COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 9/8 Ohio State women's basketball team (20-3, 9-3 B1G) returns home on Thursday to host Minnesota (19-6, 7-6 B1G) for a 7:30 p.m. ET tip. The game will be broadcast on Peacock and AM1460.
The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive an Ohio State women's basketball rally towel upon entry through the northwest and northeast entrances. There will also be a halftime performance by the Ohio State Club Dance Team.

The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive an Ohio State women's basketball rally towel upon entry through the northwest and northeast entrances. There will also be a halftime performance by the Ohio State Club Dance Team.
- The Buckeyes suffered their biggest defeat of the season on Saturday night, losing to No. 7 USC by an 84-63 margin.
- Despite Ohio State forcing 23 USC turnovers and recording 13 steals, the Buckeyes shot just under 30 percent from the floor.
- OSU had four score in double figures - Taylor Thierry (14), Cotie McMahon (13), Chance Gray (12) and Jaloni Cambridge (11). All five Buckeye starters finished with at least eight points, three rebounds, an assist and a steal.
- Ohio State has totaled at least 10 steals in seven consecutive games dating back to Jan. 16 at Wisconsin. Seven games in a row with 10 or more steals matches the streak at the beginning of the 2022-23 season, which is the longest streak of its kind since the spring of 2001.
- Minnesota enters the game with a 19-6 record and a 7-6 mark in Big Ten play. The Gophers most recently beat Indiana on Sunday by a 66-56 margin.
- The Gophers' other B1G wins include Penn State, Wisconsin (twice), RV Illinois, Rutgers and Northwestern and have lost to then No. 25 Nebraska, No. 8 Maryland, No. 24 Michigan, No. 4 USC, No. 1 UCLA and Iowa.
- With Mara Braun unavailable for the majority of the season, Amaya Battle leads a trio of Gophers in double figures with 11.8 points per game. Grace Grocholski (11.4 ppg) and Tori McKinney (10.1 ppg) are also averaging double figures. Mallory Heyer leads the team with 7.3 rebounds per game.
- Ohio State leads 64-16 in the all-time series against Minnesota and has the 29-3 advantage when facing the Gophers in Columbus.
- The teams played only once last season with the Buckeyes earning a 71-47 win in Minneapolis on Feb. 8, 2024.
- The most recent meeting in Columbus between the teams took place on Feb. 8, 2023 when Ohio State earned a 93-63 victory.
