
Three Buckeyes Earn NFHCA All-Region Honors

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State field hockey players Makenna Webster, Katie Fichtner and Anne Marie Krebs have earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-West Region honors, announced by the organization on Wednesday. Webster was named to the first team, while Fichtner and Krebs both landed on the second team.
Webster had a standout season for the Buckeyes, leading the team with a career high 19 goals. She also had a team-high seven assists and 45 points. Webster set a single-game scoring record when she netted six goals in a win against Kent State on Aug. 31. She earned All-Big Ten First Team honors for the third straight season, and this is also her third straight season on the All-West Region First Team. Webster finished her career ranked first in program history in game-winning goals (16) and penalty strokes made (seven), third in goals (58) and points (149), fifth in assists (33) and 10th in shots (178).
Fichtner helped the Buckeyes to five shutout victories this season. She was second on the team in scoring with five goals and she notched two assists to tie her career high. Fichtner was an All-Big Ten First Team selection, and this is her second season earning All-West Region honors.
This is the second straight season Krebs has earned NFHCA All-West Region Second Team honors. She was also an All-Big Ten Second Team selection. Krabs scored a career-high three goals this season, while also adding two assists.
