COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 7 seeded Ohio State field hockey team (7-9, 3-5 Big Ten) begins play the Big Ten Tournament, facing No. 2 seeded Maryland (10-7, 5-3 Big Ten).

- The Buckeyes closed out the regular season with a 3-2 loss to then-No. 10 Iowa in double overtime on Friday, Oct. 31.
- Ohio State defeated the Terrapins, who were ranked No. 11 at the time, during the regular season, earning a 2-1 overtime win at Buckeye Varsity Field.
- Makenna Webster leads the Buckeyes with a career-high 18 goals. She also leads the team in assists with six and in points with 42. Webster is tied for second in the Big Ten in goals and she is third in points. Her 1.12 goals per game are tied for seventh in the country.
- Katie Fichtner and Raleigh Kerst are second on the team in scoring with four goals each, and Loryn Jordon has added three goals.
- Autum Kernechel and Lindsey Roberts each have three assists.
- In goal, Maddie Stevens (7-9) has made 57 saves in over 1007:57 played. She is fifth in the Big Ten in saves.
- The Buckeyes average 2.38 goals per game. They have out-shot their opponents, 255-158, and lead opponent in penalty corners, 115-78. Ohio State is third in the Big Ten in total shots and third in shots on goal (157). The Buckeyes' 61.6% shot on goal percentage is second in the conference.
