Forward had three goals and four points in road series
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Adam Eisele, a graduate forward on the Ohio State men's hockey team, has been selected the Big Ten Second Star of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. The Lake Elmo, Minn., native had three goals and four points in the Buckeyes' four-point series at No. 7 Wisconsin.
Friday, Eisele had two points, with the gamewinning goal and an assist. He was +1, blocked a shot and put four shots on goal in a 5-1 Buckeye victory. Saturday, he scored twice, with the second goal of the game and a tally to draw Ohio State within one early in the third as the Buckeyes came back to force overtime. It was his first two-goal game as a Buckeye and he notched a +2 rating with five shots on net in a 6-5 overtime loss.
Eisele is on a three-game goal-scoring streak and shares the Buckeye lead with five goals, adding three assists for eight points.Â
The Buckeyes head to Ann Arbor, Mich., this weekend for a two-game series against No. 2 Michigan. Puck drop both nights is set for 7 p.m. and the series will be streamed through B1G+ and available on Ohio State Radio.
