Buckeyes Battle Elements, No. 17 Huskies, Fall 5-0 in Seattle

Ohio State will celebrate its seniors Oct. 31 at home vs. Penn State
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State (5-9-0, 2-6-0) and No. 17 Washington (10-3-2, 7-1-0) battled through rain Friday at Husky Soccer Stadium in Seattle with the Huskies prevailing 5-0 to remain atop the Big Ten standings.
The final home match of the season will take place Oct. 31 at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium against visiting Penn State (7 p.m./B1G+).
- The Huskies scored twice in the first half on goals by Alex Hall (22') and Charlie Kosakoff (33').
- Kosakoff added another goal in the 79' before Conner Leber (84') and Clarens Dollin (87') added scores while the No. 17 Washington defense held the Buckeyes scoreless for the full 90' in the 5-0 victory.
- The match against Washington concludes four-consecutive games against opponents ranked among the Top 25 in the United Soccer Coaches Poll.
- Next week against the Nittany Lions, Ohio State will celebrate its seniors during pregame ceremonies. Dyland Onwona-Agyeman, Nathan Demian, Thomas Gilej, Marko Borkovic, Ashton Bilow, Luciano Pechota, Donovan Williams, RJ Stoller, Tanner Creech and Max Trejo all will be recognized.
