COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 18 Ohio State field hockey team (7-7, 3-3 Big Ten) was defeated by No. 20 Indiana (8-7, 3-3 Big Ten), 2-1, in overtime on Friday.

- Both teams played staunch defense in the first quarter, with possessions going back and forth. The Buckeyes had the lone shot on goal of the quarter, but it missed its mark.
- The Hoosiers struck first, taking a 1-0 lead after a goal a little under three minutes into the second quarter.
