The No. 9 women’s basketball team stayed unbeaten (14-0, 3-0 B1G) by defeating Northwestern, 92-62, in its first game of 2025.
The No. 5 wrestling team also remained undefeated in dual competition (8-0) with a 40-3 win over Oregon State Sunday in front of over 4,000 at the Covelli Center.
The No. 6 football team dismantled No. 1 Oregon, 41-21, in the College Football Playoff semifinals at the Roses Bowl to advance to a quarterfinal game this Friday against Texas at the Cotton Bowl.
The No. 13 men’s hockey team split a Big Ten series with Michigan, including defeating the Wolverines in an outdoor classic at Wrigley Field in Chicago, to improve to 14-5-1 and 7-3-0 in the Big Ten.
The No. 2 women’s hockey team also played a huge series last weekend against Wisconsin, including a game at Wrigley Field, and came home with a tie in the second game of the series to now stand at 13-5-3 overall and 8-5-3 in the WCHA.
