Buckeyes Set for Competitions at UPenn and St. John's

Ohio State will compete for the first time in 2025
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Ohio State fencing program hits the road for the first time in 2025 this weekend, traveling for two events. Saturday, the Buckeyes will compete in the Philadelphia Invitational, hosted by UPenn, and Sunday Ohio State will participate in the St. John's Cup in Queens, N.Y.Â

- Saturday, the Buckeyes will take on Johns Hopkins at 8:30 a.m., UPenn at 9:45 a.m., Duke at 1 p.m., North Carolina at 2:15 p.m. and Penn State at 3:30 p.m.Â
- Sunday, Ohio State will go up against St. John's at 10 a.m., Columbia at 11:15 a.m., Harvard at 12:30 p.m. and Notre Dame at 3:45 p.m.Â
- In the USFCA Preseason Poll, the Buckeye men are ranked No. 6. Of this weekend's opponents, Johns Hopkins is 14th, UPenn is No. 7, Duke is 10th, Penn State is fifth, St. John's is ranked eighth, Columbia is third, Harvard is No. 1 and Notre Dame is No. 2.
- The Buckeye women are No. 10 in the USFCA Preseason Poll. Ranked opponents for the Buckeyes this weekend include No. 7 UPenn, No. 6 Duke, No. 13 Penn State, No. 9 St. John's, No. 3 Columbia, No. 1 Harvard and No. 2 Notre Dame. Â
- The Buckeye men are 12-5 against all opponents this season, with the women 14-5.
- The Northwestern Duals wrap up the regular season Feb. 1-2.
- Detroit Mercy will host the CCFC Championships Feb. 22-23, with NCAA Midwest Regionals hosted by Denison in Granville, Ohio, March 8.
- Penn State will host the 2025 NCAA Fencing Championships March 20-23 in University Park, Pa.Â
