COLUMBUS, Ohio – Week in and week out, Buckeyes raise the standard of excellence set at Ohio State, whether that be in competition, in the classroom or in the community. 'Buckeye Spotlight' recognizes Buckeye student-athletes who had noteworthy accomplishments both in contests and beyond the box score.
Jenna Buglioni | Women's Hockey | Gr. | Port Moody, B.C.

Buglioni tallied her 150th career point on a power play goal in Saturday's 4-0 win over Bemidji State. She has now recorded 151 points in 155 games for the Buckeyes.

She is just the sixth player in program history to hit the 150-career point milestone in the Buckeye sweater.

The captain also tallied the15th game-winning goal of her career in Saturday's game. The mark puts her one game-winning goal shy of tying the program record.
Dylan D'Emilio | Wrestling | Curtice, Ohio

D'Emilio put Ohio State (10-0, 2-0) in the lead with a gritty overtime win at 149 against No. 17 Rutgers.

With Ohio State trailing 6-5 in the team scoring, he earned three team points with the deciding score in overtime in a 2-1 victory.

His win was crucial in the Buckeyes' 17-15 victory over the Scarlet Knights.

D'Emilio improved his personal record to 13-1 on the season.

The Buckeyes remain in Columbus to face Purdue at 1 p.m. Sunday (B1G+).
Kary Hollenbaugh | Women's Golf | Jr. | New Albany, Ohio

Hollenbaugh won her second straight title at the South Atlantic Women's Amateur (SALLY), which wrapped up on Saturday at Oceanside Country Club in Ormond Beach, Fla.

Over four rounds, Hollenbaugh carded a five-under 283. She was the only player in the final field of 62 to shoot three under-par rounds.

Hollenbaugh opened the tournament by carding a one-under 71. She followed that up by firing back-to-back rounds of 70 (-2) and wrapped up competition on Saturday with an even 72 in round four. Hollenbaugh had 15 birdies throughout the tournament and shot even par 48 times.

Hollenbaugh's victory at the tournament earned her a sponsor's exemption into an EPSON Tour event.
Kameron Nelson | Men's Gymnastics | Sr. | Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Senior all-arounder Nelson made history Friday in the Buckeyes' season opener at the West Point Open. Nelson became the first gymnast in the world to compete two triple backs in a floor routine. Nelson won the floor competition at the West Point Open and currently leads the country with a 13.800.

Nelson earned a second event win with a 14.100 on vault and ranks fourth in the country on the event.

He also competed in the all-around competition, finishing second with a score of 77.100. His second-place finish qualified him to the 2025 Winter Cup.

Nelson was named Big Ten Gymnast of the Week for his performance at the West Point Open.
Olivia Oiler | Indoor Track & Field | So. | Dublin, Ohio

At the Rod McCravy Invite, Oiler placed first in the one mile with a time of 5:00.45, earning 10 points for the Buckeyes.

Her time was good for a personal record, beating out her 5:03.64 time at the 2024 Meyo Invitational.
Taylor Thierry | Women's Basketball | Sr. | Cleveland, Ohio

Thierry, a guard/forward, helped the Buckeyes to a pair of wins last week, averaging 14.0 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game.

On Sunday against Oregon, Thierry scored a season-high 20 points to lead the game. She added four rebounds, including the 600th of her career, and three steals, while shooting 6-of-10 (.600) from the floor and a perfect 3-of-3 from long range. Her three made triples ties her career high. Thierry moved up to 19th on the program's all-time leading rebounders list.

On Wednesday at No. 25 Michigan, Thierry finished with eight points, a game-leading four steals and tied for the game high with seven rebounds. She moved up to 12th in program history in career steals and now has 196.

This season, Thierry is averaging 10.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per game. She also leads the team in steals (39) and three-point percentage (.500). Thierry is second in the conference with 2.4 steals per game.
Edidiong Udo | Indoor Track & Field | Fr. | Ikot Ekpene, Nigeria

Udo opened not only the indoor track & field season strong, but his Buckeye career as well, running a 1:16.77 in the 600m at the Rod McCravy Invite.

His time placed first, set a new meet record and gave Ohio State 10 points.

Udo is fourth on the all-time fastest 600m list in Ohio State history.
Tory Vetter | Women's Gymnastics | RS-Jr. | Hilliard, Ohio

Vetter earned a share of the all-around title in the Buckeyes' season opener at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad meet Saturday.

She scored a 39.475 to tie Arkansas' Joscelyn Roberson for the all-around crown. Her all-around score leads the Big Ten Conference.

Vetter led the team on vault, scoring her first 9.900 of the season. She added a 9.875 on floor and 9.850s on beam and uneven bars to finish top 10 across all apparatuses in the meet.

Her performance helped the Buckeyes to a team score of 196.425, ranking the team ninth in the country this week in the Road to Nationals rankings.
Cole Young | Men's Volleyball | Sr. | Powell, Ohio

Young tied the Ohio State record with 10 kills on 10 swings (1.000) against Fort Valley State Saturday.

He helped the Buckeyes sweep the Wildcats 3-0 twice.

Young finished the weekend with 16 kills while hitting .652.
-
He also added a team-high six blocks to help the Buckeyes improve to 2-2 on the year.
