
Buckeyes Finish Third at Folds of Honor Collegiate

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's golf team had a strong start to the season, finishing in third place at the Folds of Honor Collegiate. The Buckeyes finished with a team score of 880 (+16) after carding a 293 (+5) in the final round of play on Wednesday.
Nellie Ong and Kary Hollenbaugh led the way for the Buckeyes, finishing tied for ninth, They both carded a plus-one 73 on Wednesday and finished the tournament with a 54-hole score of 219 (+3).
Marina Joyce-Moreno had another solid day on the course, closing out the tournament with a round of 73 (+1). She tied for 11th place with a 54-hole score of 220 (+4).
Faith Choi shaved five strokes off her second round score to card a 74 (+2) in the final round. She tied for 21st place with a score of 222 (+6). Choi led the team on Wednesday with five birdies.
Mandy Song cut four strokes off her second round score and shot 76 (+4) in round three. She recorded a 54-hole score of 232 (+16).
The Buckeyes are back in action Sept. 30-Oct. 2 at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.
