COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women's gymnastics head coach Meredith Paulicivic has signed a contract extension through the 2027 season.
Â
"I could not be more excited to continue my journey at Ohio State," Paulicivic said. "The vision and plans that I began for this program seven years ago have begun to come to full fruition. We have seen so much success on the competition floor, in the classroom and in the postgraduate careers of our student athletes. Records have been broken and history has been made. I can't wait to see what the future holds with the exceptional student-athletes we bring into our program and the changes that have been made to the program thanks to the support of our athletic department. I want to thank Ross Bjork, Gene Smith and Shaun Richard for continuing to believe in me and the vision I have for the program. I am blessed to be here and continue this journey."
Â
In her seven seasons at the helm, Paulicivic has led the Buckeyes to record heights. The team has qualified for NCAA regionals in every season they were contested, crowned four Big Ten individual champions, recorded a program record score of 197.750 and set program record team scores at the Big Ten Championship meet for the last two seasons.
Â
"Meredith has brought so many positive things to this program since she stepped foot on campus," Shaun Richard, executive associate athletics director for sport administration, said. "This contract extension highlights the competitive excellence, academic excellence and quality experiences she has produced since becoming a Buckeye. I look forward to working with her for many years to come to continue pushing this program to the highest level."
Â
In 2024, Ohio State advanced to its second consecutive NCAA regional final. The Buckeyes earned a program-record nine scores over 197 during the season and tied the program record beam score. Ella Hodges was named a regular season All-American on floor and Tory Vetter earned a conference title on beam. Courtney McCann tied the program record bream score and Vetter tied the all-around record.
