- The men’s tennis team defeated Mississippi State, 4-1, Saturday in the NCAA Super Regionals to advance to the NCAA Quarterfinals for the 18th consecutive year, the longest such streak in the nation. The Buckeyes carry a record of 33-1 and the No. 1 ranking into the quarterfinals Thursday against Columbia in Stillwater, Okla.

- The No. 1 men’s tennis team powered by Cleveland State and Oklahoma State in the first two rounds of the NCAA tournament and will carry a 32-1 record into a Super Regional match Saturday against Mississippi at noon at the Auer Tennis Complex. The team is 37-0 all-time in NCAA tournament matches at home.

- The baseball team, 26-23 overall and 10-11 in the Big Ten, won three of four last week, including a series win over Northwestern, to position itself for a possible Big Ten Tournament berth heading into the final conference series this weekend at Rutgers.

- The women’s golf team just missed advancing to the NCAA championship round by finishing sixth – the top five advance – at the NCAA Bryan Regional. The Buckeyes were just five shots back of fifth-place Texas A&M with a 54-hole team score of 875 (+11).

- The women’s track & field team placed third at the Big Ten championships while the men were 10th. Big Ten individual championships were won by Leah Bertrand (100 meters), Fatouma Conde (200 meters), Hayden Tobias (shot put) and the women’s 4x100 relay team (for a fifth consecutive year) featuring Conde, Nya Bussey, Columba Effiong and Bertrand.
