Fyock Tabbed B1G Freshman of the Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State men's lacrosse freshman goalie Caleb Fyock was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week by the Big Ten Conference Tuesday. The award is his second of the season.
Fyock made 12 saves to help the Buckeyes defeat then-No. 19 Rutgers, 14-8, last Saturday. The win was the team's first against a conference opponent this season and Fyock's first Big Ten win of his career.
The Bowie, Md. native held the Scarlet Knights to just eight goals in the contest, bringing his season goals-against average to a league-leading 9.40. He ranks eighth in the country in the category. Fyock is third among conference goaltenders in save percentage (.538).
Ohio State continues its conference slate Saturday, April 6 at noon against No. 9 Maryland. The Buckeyes and Terrapins meet at SECU Stadium in College Park, Md. The game will be streamed on B1G+ (subscription required).
