
Buckeyes Tied for Seventh After First Round of Big Ten Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's golf team is tied for seventh place after the first round of the Big Ten Championships at Bulle Rock Golf Course in Havre de Grace, Md.
Ohio State shot a team score of 298 (+10) on Friday. The Buckeyes shot third-best among the 14-team field on par 3s, averaging 3.04 strokes. They also recorded the third-most pars with 72.
Caley McGinty leads the Buckeyes; she finished the day tied for 13th place after carding an even 72. McGinty shot second-best among the field of 84 players on par 5s, averaging 4.50 strokes. She had 14 pars and two birdies.
Kary Hollenbaugh and Faith Choi are tied for 33rd place. Each shot 75 (+3) in round one. Hollenbaugh shot even par on 13 holes and birdied two. Choi shot par on 12 holes and birdied two.
Jillian Bourdage carded a 76 (+4) and is tied for 44th place. Bourdage recorded 10 pars and two birdies.
Emily Hummer carded a 79 (+7) and is tied for 67th and Kailie Vongsaga shot 81 (+9) and is tied for 74th. Hummer shot par on 11 holes and Vongsaga shot par on 12.
The Big Ten Championships continue Saturday, April 20 through Sunday, April 21 at Bulle Rock Golf Course.
