COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 1 Ohio State women's hockey team fell in the WCHA Final Faceoff championship game to No. 2 Wisconsin, 6-3, Saturday afternoon at Ridder Arena. The game was the team's fifth conference tournament title game in as many seasons.  Â

How it Happened
Ohio State and Wisconsin went back and forth in the first five minutes of the first period. Following the media timeout at the under 15-minute mark, the Badgers scored at 6:31 and 9:39 for the 2-0 lead.

The Buckeyes were first to strike in the second period with Jocelyn Amos scoring 1:17 into the frame to cut the Badger lead to one. But a tripping penalty on Amos two and a half minutes later gave Wisconsin its first power play of the game, which it scored on at 5:16. The Badgers added another goal at 7:46 and closed the period with a shorthanded goal at 18:34 to take a 5-1 lead at the second intermission.

Ohio State outscored Wisconsin in the third period, 2-1. After a Wisconsin power play goal at 1:26, Hannah Bilka ended the game with goals at 15:23 and 17:47.
