Buckeyes Recognized with CCFC Honors

For the second year in a row, 17 members of the Ohio State fencing team were honored with All-Central Collegiate Fencing Conference accolades. The athletes were recognized for their excellent contributions to their team, both on the strip and off the strip.

In epee, Miles Weiss and Yeva Mazur earned first team honors, with Karina Dyner, Gabriel Feinberg and Paul Veltrup named to the second team and Montserrat Viveros an honorable mention selection. Weiss and Mazur are both now three-time first team honorees. Feinberg earned his third all-conference honor (2022 first, 2023 second) and Ventrup is a two-time honoree (2023 first). Viveros was recognized for the third time (2022 second, 2023 first).

Ohio State took all three men's foil first team selections, with Diego Cervantes, Edriss Ndiaye and Justin Vogler recognized. For the women, Dasha Myroniuk was a first team honoree, Alina Lee was named to the second team and Claire Teresa Galavotti was an honorable mention pick. Cervantes and Ndiaye were first team choices for the third time. Myroniuk is a two-time first team selection and Lee is now a three-time honoree (2022 first, 2023 second). Galavotti was a second team selection a year ago.

In saber, Luca Fioretto and Ele Perrier were both First Team All-CCFC. Vincent Haney, Samuel Rightler and Arlow Wiggers all earned a spot on the second team. Perrier was an honorable mention selection a season ago. Fioretto, Rightler and Wiggers are all in their first collegiate seasons.

The Buckeye men picked up the team title and all three squad titles at the CCFC Championships, while the women were second as a team, claimed the foil squad title, finished second in saber and were third in epee.
