COLUMBUS, Ohio – Kary Hollenbaugh was the top finisher for the Ohio State women's golf team at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, which wrapped up on Wednesday.
Hollenbaugh fired a 68 (-3) in the third round of the tournament, her best round of the week. She moved up 19 spots in the standings, finishing tied for 12th place with a 54-hole score of 213 (E). Hollenbaugh shot even par on 41 holes and birdied seven holes.
Caley McGinty carded a 74 (+3) in the final round and finished the tournament with a total score of 218 (+5). She tied for 38th place. McGinty birdied seven holes and shot even par on 36 holes.
Jillian Bourdage and Emily Hummer, who competed as an individual, tied for 66th place, both finishing with a 54-hole score of 224 (+11). Bourdage shot 76 (+5) in the final round and Hummer shot 79 (+8).
Kailie Vongsaga shaved five strokes off her second-round score to shoot a 73 (+2) in the third round. She recorded an overall score 229 (+16) and finished in 76th place.
Faith Choi finished in 85th place with a 54-hole score of 235 (+22). She carded a 79 (+8) in the final round.
The Buckeyes finished in 16th place with a team score of 882 (+30).
Ohio State competes next at the Florida State Match Up March 15-17 at Seminole Legacy Golf Club in Tallahassee, Fla.
