COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's golf team is in eighth place after the first two rounds of the Florida State Match Up on Friday. The Buckeyes carded a team score of 581 (+5).
The Buckeyes scored the best among the 14-team field on par 3s, averaging 2.95 strokes. They had the third-most pars with 116.
Caley McGinty led the Buckeyes, firing a two-round score of 143 (-1). She carded an even 72 in round one and a one-under 71 in the second round. McGinty is tied for 19th place after the first day of play. McGinty birdied six holes and shot even par on 25.
Kary Hollenbaugh shot an even 72 in both rounds and is tied for 22nd with a score of 144 (E). Hollenbaugh led the field in pars with 29.
Jillian Bourdage carded rounds of 72 (E) and 73 (+1) on Friday and is tied for 25th place with a two-round score of 145 (+1). Among the field of 78 players, Bourdage shot the second-best on par 3s with a stroke average of 2.75. Bourdage birdied eight holes and had one eagle.
