COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 12 Ohio State women's tennis team posted its fifth win in a row, downing Rutgers, 4-0, Sunday outside in the Auer Tennis Complex in Columbus. The Buckeyes improve to 12-6 on the year, with a 5-1 B1G record.

Ohio State used the doubles point and three straight-set singles wins for the victory over the Scarlet Knights (10-8, 1-6 B1G). Luciana Perry and Akanksha Bhan both won in singles and doubles, while Shelly Bereznyak was a winner in singles. Sydni Ratliff and Audrey Spencer contributed to doubles victories. The victory was the third 4-0 win in the last four outings for the Buckeyes and the seventh shutout of the year.

The Buckeyes' next three matches will be on the road, as they play at Penn State Wednesday, at Iowa April 12 and at Nebraska April 14.

The regular season ends with home matches against Northwestern at 4 p.m. April 19 and Illinois at noon April 21 on Senior Day. Admission and parking are free for all regular season matches in the Ty Tucker Tennis Center and Auer Tennis Complex.

How it Happened
- A shutout on court two from Luciana Perry and Akanksha Bhan over Tara Chilton and Minchae Kim opened doubles.
- Audrey Spencer and Sydni Ratliff clinched the doubles point, breaking for a 6-4 win on court one against Yana Gurevich and Mai Nguyen.
- The court three tandem of Madeline Atway and Alessia Cau was winning 5-2 when doubles was clinched.
- Perry lost just three games on court two against Nguyen to put the Buckeyes up 2-0, winning 6-2, 6-1.
- On court three, Shelly Bereznyak lost one game in each set to top Jackeline Lopez and move the Buckeye advantage to 3-0.
- With two Buckeyes within a game of sealing the team win, Bhan clinched the victory with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Arina Valitova on court six.
- Spencer led Karki 6-3, 5-3 on court five when her match was abandoned.
- Teah Chavez was up a set and on serve in the second when play was abandoned, while Ratliff's match ended on serve in the second with the Buckeye down a set.
- Bereznyak is 10-2 this spring, sharing the team lead in dual wins. Spencer has eight victories, with Perry posting six and Bhan 2-0.
