Ohio State Places 13th at 2024 NCAA Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 15 Ohio State men's swimming and diving team placed 13th at the 2024 NCAA Championships, which concluded on Saturday night.
It is the fifth straight season the Buckeyes have finished in the top 15 at the NCAA Championships. Ohio State totaled 92 points over four days of competition. Indiana (fourth place) was the only Big Ten team to finish above the Buckeyes. Ohio State edged rival Michigan, who placed 14th, by 4.5 points; the Wolverines finished the meet with 87.5 points.
On the final day of swimming and diving, multiple Buckeyes collected All-American honors.
In the 1650 free, Charlie Clark and Sam Campbell earned Honorable Mention All-American honors. Clark finished in ninth place with a time of 14:42.69 and Campbell, the reigning Big Ten champion in the 1650 free, placed 12th with a time of 14:44.26. '
Clayton Chaplin earned First Team All-American honors on the platform. He placed eighth in the A final with an aggregate score of 348.35.
The Buckeyes closed the night with an Honorable Mention All-American performance in the 400 free relay. The team of Tomas Navikonis, Mario McDonald, Evan Fentress and Daniel Baltes finished in 2:49.49 to place 16th overall.
