COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's golf team placed sixth out of 16 teams at the Clemson Invitational, which wrapped up on Sunday. The Buckeyes combined for a 54-hole team score of 870 (+6).
Ohio State led the field on par 3s, averaging 3.03 strokes. The Buckeyes totaled 177 pars and 36 birdies.
Kailie Vongsaga, who competed as an individual, tied for 10th place. She carded a 75 (+3) in the third round and finished the tournament with a total score of 214 (-2).
Caley McGinty led the starting lineup, moving 19 spots up the leaderboard to finish tied for 13th place. She fired a two-under 70 on Sunday to finish with a 54-hole score of 215 (-1). McGinty was tied for the second-best stroke average on par 3s (2.75).
Faith Choi shot 74 (+2) in the final round to finish the tournament with a score of 218 (+2). She tied for 24th place.
Kary Hollenbaugh also finished tied for 24th place with a score of 218 (+2). She shot 78 (+6) in round three. Hollenbaugh was tied for second-most pars among the field of 88 players with 40.
Emily Hummer carded a 78 (+6) in the final round for a 54-hole score of 221 (+5). She finished tied for 20th place.
Jillian Bourdage tied for 75th with a total score of 231 (+15). She shot 82 (+10) in round three.
The Buckeyes wrap up the regular season when they host the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational at the OSU Scarlet Course April 13-14.
