COLUMBUS, Ohio – For the third straight season, the Ohio State women's hockey team will play for a national championship. The No. 1 seed Buckeyes (34-4-0, 26-2-0 WCHA) face off against No. 2 seed Wisconsin (35-5-0, 23-5-0 WCHA) 4 p.m. Sunday at the Whittemore Center Arena in Durham, N.H.
The rematch of last year's national title game will be televised on ESPNU with Dana Boyle, Leah Hextall and AJ Mleczko Griswold on the call.

Buckeyes in a Nutshell
- Sunday's game is Ohio State's 39th of the season. Ohio State has advanced to the final game of the season the last three years and has made it to the Frozen Four for the last four years.
- This year's national championship game marks the third consecutive all-WCHA title game.
- The Buckeyes' four goals in Friday's semifinal win were a program record for goals in a Frozen Four game. The team tied the record, which was set in last year's semifinal against Northeastern, with nine points. Makenna Webster's two points (1G, 1A) tie for most points in a Frozen Four game by a Buckeye.
- Goaltender Raygan Kirk earned her 20th win of the season on Friday night to tie the Ohio State record for wins in a season.
- Hannah Bilka's career-high 47 points still stand for most on the team this season entering the final game of the season. Joy Dunne took sole control of the team goal lead with a tally in Friday's semifinal, bringing her season total to 23. Jenn Gardiner and Kiara Zanon are tied with 27 assists to lead the team. Zanon's 27 helpers are a career best.
- Cayla Barnes improved her nation-leading plus-minus to 70 in her first Frozen Four game. Stephanie Markowski and Zanon join her in the top-10 with a +51 and +48, respectively.
- Barnes was named a Second Team All-American by the American Hockey Coaches Association Saturday. The award is the second of her career.
- Nine of Ohio State's 23 players on the 2023-24 roster played on the 2022 national championship team. This week is the first Frozen Four trip for 10 of Ohio State's players. Quinn Kuntz, Jenn Gardiner, Amanda Thiele, Jenna Buglioni and Riley Brengman are all making their fourth trip to the Frozen Four for Ohio State.
- In its third straight 30+ win season, Ohio State set a program record for wins in a season on Friday night as it recorded its 34th victory of the year.
- Ohio State earned its spot in the 2024 national title game with a 4-1 win over four-seed Clarkson in Friday's semifinal.
- Despite the Golden Knights scoring first in the first three minutes of the game, Ohio State tied the game in the first period and added three goals in the third period to take the win.
- Makenna Webster scored the game-tying goal and Sloane Matthews added the game-winner. Joy Dunne and Hadley Hartmetz also scored.
- Raygan Kirk made 17 saves in her first Frozen Four game.
- Ohio State and Wisconsin meet for the sixth time this season on Sunday.
- The Buckeyes hold the 3-2 advantage over the Badgers in 2023-24, winning the first three meetings this season.
- Ohio State and Wisconsin have met twice before in the NCAA Tournament, including last year's national championship game. The Buckeyes look to earn their first win over the Badgers in the tournament.
