COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's golf team is in fifth place out of 16 teams following the first round of the Clemson Invitational on Friday. The Buckeyes shot an even 288.
The Buckeyes led the field on par 3s, averaging 2.95 strokes.
Faith Choi led the Buckeyes, carding a two-under 70 in the first round. She is tied for ninth place.
Kailie Vongsaga, who is competing as an individual, is tied for 14th place. She carded a 71 (-1) on Friday.
Kary Hollenbaugh and Emily Hummer are tied for 20th after both shot 72 (E) in the first round of play. Hollebaugh was tied for second among the field of 88 players in pars; she had 14.
Caley McGinty shot 74 (+2) and is tied for 40th place.
The Clemson Invitational continues at The Reserve at Lake Keowee March 23-24.
