
Buckeyes Continue Dominance of Michigan with 4-0 Victory

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Top-ranked Ohio State capped its spring break road trip with an emphatic 4-0 sweep of rival Michigan on Sunday afternoon in Ann Arbor.
Sunday’s match was a non-conference match, and the Buckeyes finished the non-conference portion of the schedule at 18-1. They will start Big Ten play next weekend with matches against Northwestern and Illinois.
In doubles, the No. 5 ranked team of Robert Cash and JJ Tracy broke early and then held for a 6-3 victory on court one. Andrew Lutschaunig and Justin Boulais won by the same score on court two to clinch the point while Jack Anthrop and Alexander Bernard were down 5-4 when the point was clinched.
In singles, Anthrop continued his stellar season, rolling past Nicholas Steiglehner 6-1, 6-2 on court four to post the second point. Freshman Bryce Nakashima beat Alex Cairo on court six 6-3, 6-2 and the Buckeyes quickly raced to a 3-0 lead. The clinching point on Sunday came from Justin Boulais who took down No. 92 Jacob Bickersteth 6-3, 7-6(7) to post the 18th win of the year.
