COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's golf team placed sixth at the Florida State Match Up, which concluded on Saturday. The Buckeyes shot a 54-hole team score of 874 (+10).
The Buckeyes led the field in par three scoring, averaging three strokes to finish even overall on par threes. Ohio State also led the 14-team field in total pars with 175.
Caley McGinty was the top finisher for the Buckeyes, placing 16th. McGinty shot an even 72 in the third round and finished the tournament with a total score of 215 (-1). She had the second-most pars among the 78 competing players with 41.
Kary Hollenbaugh moved up five spots in the standings to finish tied for 17th place. She carded a 72 (E) in all three rounds for a 54-hole score of 216 (E). Hollenbaugh led the field in pars with 43 over three rounds.
Emily Hummer jumped up 11 spots in the third round to tie for 33rd place. She carded a 74 (+2) in the third round, finishing the tournament with a score of 223 (+7).
Jillian Bourdage shot 80 (+8) in the final round for a 54-hole score of 225 (+9). She tied for 40th place. Bourdage shot the second-best among the field of 78 players on par threes, with a stroke average of 2.83.
Kailie Vongsaga shot a 75 (+3) in the third round and moved up 10 spots in the standings to finish tied for 49th. She finished the tournament with a total score of 227 (+11).
