COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 1 Ohio State women's hockey team is set to make its final regular season trip to Minnesota this weekend, playing Minnesota State in a two-game series at Mayo Clinic HSEC in Mankato, Minn. on Feb. 9-10. The Buckeyes (24-2-0, 21-1-0 WCHA) and Mavericks (10-19-0, 4-18-0 WCHA) faceoff at 7 p.m. ET Friday and 3 p.m. ET Saturday.
Both games will be streamed on B1G+ (subscription required).

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 1 Ohio State women's hockey team is set to make its final regular season trip to Minnesota this weekend, playing Minnesota State in a two-game series at Mayo Clinic HSEC in Mankato, Minn. on Feb. 9-10. Buckeyes in a Nutshell
- The Buckeyes improved to 21-1-0 in WCHA contests with a sweep of Bemidji State last weekend at the OSU Ice Rink. Ohio State picked up 11-1 and 9-1 wins over the Beavers to sweep the regular season series.
- The team's 11 goals in game one against Bemidji State tied a program record for goals in a game. In game one against the Beavers, the Buckeyes scored a program record three shorthanded goals while Jenna Buglioni tallied a program record two shorthanded goals in the game.
- Hannah Bilka and Jocelyn Amos, two key pieces to Ohio State's offensive success against the Beavers, were named conference players of the week. Bilka was named Forward of the Week for the first time and Amos was named Rookie of the Week for the third time this season.
- Bilka, a graduate student from Coppell, Texas, leads the team with 33 points and 21 assists on the year. Freshman forward Joy Dunne leads the team with 15 goals.
- Ohio State is ranked No. 1 in both the USCHO.com and USA Hockey/The Rink Live polls for the nineth consecutive week the polls have been published. The Buckeyes lead the country in win percentage (.923) and are second in wins, just one game behind first-place Clarkson.
- Senior goaltender Raygan Kirk was honored as the national Co-Goaltender of the Month by the Hockey Commissioners Association for her success in January. Kirk won four games, all against top-10 teams, and helped the Buckeyes start the calendar year 6-0-0. She also earned two shutouts against then-ranked No. 2 Minnesota and finished the month with a .957 save percentage.
- In the race for the 2023-24 Julianne Bye Cup, the WCHA regular season title, Ohio State has a seven-point lead over second-place Wisconsin. Both teams have two series left before they meet in the final series of the regular season Feb. 23-24 in Madison, Wis.
- The closing of the 2023-24 regular season means it's time for national awards watchlists and semifinals to be announced.
- Kirk was named one of 11 semifinalists for the Women's Hockey Goalie of the Year award.
- The Ste. Anne, Manitoba native ranks second in the country in win percentage (.929) and goals against average (1.093). She is third nationally with five shutouts on the year and is seventh with a .944 save percentage.
- Dunne was recently named to the watchlist for National Rookie of the Year.
- She is sixth in the WCHA in goals scored and is second among league rookies by just one tally.
- The O'Fallon, Mo. native has recorded 26 points this year, which is good for 10th in the Ohio State record book for season points by a freshman and the most points by a Buckeye rookie since the 2017-18 season.
- The first two games between the Buckeyes and Beavers were played in Bemidji, Minn. with Ohio State winning both games, 9-1 and 5-0.
- Ohio State is 9-1-0 against Bemidji State in the last 10 matchups and has won the last nine matchups.
- Dunne recorded her first career goal and hat trick in the Buckeyes' 9-1 win over the Beavers in the fall.
- Ohio State has not given up more than one goal to Bemidji State in the last six games.
- Graduate defenseman Cayla Barnes is just two points shy of 100 for her career. No. 23 has recorded a career high tying 23 points already this season.
- Bilka needs just one assist to score 100 career helpers. Also nearing the milestone is Jenn Gardiner with 91 entering the weekend.
- Amanda Thiele has won 51 games in the Buckeye sweater. She is six wins shy of the all-time record.
