Kirk Named National Goaltender of the Month

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State senior goaltender Raygan Kirk was named the co-Goaltender of the Month by the Hockey Commissioners Association on Tuesday.
Kirk posted a 4-0-0 record in January, all with wins against top-10 teams. She earned two shutouts, one against then-ranked No. 2 Minnesota and the second against No. 7 Minnesota Duluth. The Ste. Anne, Manitoba native played both games against the Gophers, only allowing one goal in the series.
Kirk finished January with 66 saves and a .957 save percentage.
After picking up a win in last weekend's series against Bemidji State, Kirk is now 13-1-0 on the year and is second in the country in win percentage (.929) and goals against average (1.093).
The Buckeyes travel to Mankato, Minn. this weekend to play Minnesota State. The two-game series is set for 7 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday from the Mayo Clinic HSEC. The games will also be streamed on B1G+ (subscription required).
