Snyder Named Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Week

Zach Snyder received his first Big Ten weekly award on Monday.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Big Ten Conference announced its weekly men's gymnastics awards on Monday. Freshman Zach Snyder was named Big Ten Co-Freshman of the Week after his performance last weekend in the tri meet at then No. 2 Oklahoma and against Arizona State.
Snyder earned his first collegiate win this past weekend at No. 2 Oklahoma and against Arizona State in a tri meet and had a career-high score on each of his two events. Snyder tied for the win on vault with a career-high 15.000 and the stick. He also earned a career-high 13.800 on floor. Snyder's scores contributed to season-high team scores on both of those events for the Buckeyes. He ranks sixth in the country on vault with an average score of 14.633.
Ohio State hosts the NCAA Championships on April 19-20 inside the Covelli Center with the qualifiers on Friday and the Championships on Saturday.
