Prior to Saturday's North Regional Championships, the Ohio State synchronized (artistic) swimming team recognized its 2024 seniors. Learn more about this year's senior class below!
Emily Armstrong is a five-time national champion for the Buckeyes in her three seasons at Ohio State. At the 2022 national championships meet, she won trio and A Figures while also picking up a silver medal in duet to earn the championship's Individual High Point award. Last season, she won the duet national title to help the Buckeyes to back-to-back overall institution championships. Emily is a two-time All-American and an OSU Scholar Athlete and Academic All-Big Ten award winner in her Buckeye career. Emily will graduate in August with a master's degree in sports management.
This season, Victoria Carlson has competed in team and figures for the Buckeyes. She helped the Buckeyes earn a win in the team routine at Richmond last week marking her first team win as a member of the scarlet squad. In her career, she has also competed in duet and team routines. She swam trio and team routines at the 2023 national championship meet and has helped the team to two consecutive national titles. Victoria also helped the Buckeyes to two undefeated regular seasons. An OSU Scholar Athlete, Academic All-Big Ten honoree and Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, Victoria will graduate in May with a degree in landscape architecture.
Carol Walsh has competed in the team routine this year, earning a second-place finish at Richmond. In her four seasons at Ohio State, she has swam in duet and team routines. Carol swam in the 2023 national championship meet, helping the team to its second national title in as many years. A marketing major, Carol is an OSU Scholar Athlete, Big Ten Distinguished Scholar and Academic All Big Ten award winner who will graduate in August. Megan Wong swam three seasons for the Buckeyes, competing in trio, team and figures. As an integral member of our gray squad, Megan has driven her team to two consecutive national championships during the 2022 and 2023 seasons. This season, she took on the role of team manager, serving as a technical controller within USAAS and helping in the coordination of team activities and practices. In every role that she has served with the Buckeyes, Megan jumps right in to help her teammates and coaches. Megan will graduate in May with a degree in Pharmaceutical sciences.
