No. 2/2 Ohio State Hosts Maryland Sunday for Senior Day

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 2/2 Ohio State women's basketball team (23-3, 14-1 B1G) hosts Maryland (16-10, 8-7 B1G) on Sunday for senior day at 2 p.m. The game will be broadcast on BTN and AM1460.
The Buckeyes will celebrate the senior class prior to the game. There will also be a dunk team, dance performance and a rally towel giveaway to Buckeyes Care Participants.

- Ohio State earned an 82-69 win at Penn State on Thursday to sweep the season's series and improve to 14-1 in Big Ten play.
- Jacy Sheldon (20) led the Buckeyes' four double-figure scorers, joined by Cotie McMahon (16), Celeste Taylor (16) and Taylor Thierry (14). OSU forced 27 turnovers and recorded 14 steals.
- In Thursday's game, Sheldon moved into eighth in program history in scoring as she now owns 1,919 career points and Taylor scored her 1,500th career point.
- Maryland enters the game 16-10 overall and 8-7 in conference play after beating Rutgers by an 81-62 margin on Wednesday and is on a four-game win streak.
- The Terrapins hold conference wins against Northwestern, Minnesota, Purdue, Illinois (twice), Rutgers (twice) and Penn State and have lost to Nebraska, Michigan State, then No. 18 Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, then No. 10 Indiana and then No. 3 Iowa.
- Maryland has a trio of double-figure scorers - Shyanne Sellers (15.8 ppg), Jakia Brown-Turner (13.7 ppg) and Bri McDaniel (12.5 ppg). Sellers and Brown-Turner are each averaging a team-high 6.1 rebounds per game.
- Maryland leads 14-7 in the all-time series, which includes a pair of vacated Ohio State wins. When playing in Columbus, OSU has the 4-3 edge.
- This is the second meeting of the season for the Buckeyes and Terrapins after OSU earned an 84-76 win in College Park on Jan. 17, the Buckeyes' first win in College Park since Jan. 2, 2016.
- All five Buckeye starters scored in double figures on Jan. 17, led by Rebeka Mikulášiková's 20 points. Taylor Thierry (17p/9r), Cotie McMahon (14p/9r) and Celeste Taylor (11p/8r) all neared a double-double, while Jacy Sheldon rounded out OSU's double-figure scorers with 10 points. The Buckeyes combined for 42 rebounds.
