Fyock Named Big Ten Freshman of the Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Caleb Fyock of the Ohio State men's lacrosse team earned this week's Big Ten Freshman of the Week award, the conference announced Tuesday.
Fyock, who has started the last three games in goal for the Buckeyes, earned two wins last week for Ohio State as the team defeated Bellarmine, 10-6, and Air Force, 12-4. The Bowie, Md. native made 17 saves in the two games combined and added five ground balls and a caused turnover in the win over Air Force.
The freshman leads the Big Ten with a .677 save percentage and a 5.17 goals against average in three games played on the year.
No. 20 Ohio State travels to Charlottesville, Va. this weekend to play No. 3 Virginia at Klöckner Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 25. First faceoff between the Buckeyes and Cavaliers is set for 1 p.m. The game will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
