
Chandler Cards 68, Buckeyes Under-Par on Day 2 of Watersound Inv.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Senior Jackson Chandler carded his lowest round of the season, a 4-under 68, to lead Ohio State in the second round of the Watersound Invitational at the Shark’s Tooth Golf Club in Panama City, Fla.
As a team, the Buckeyes carded a 4-under 284 and are in eighth place with a round to play. They are just nine shots out of second place.
Chandler made five birdies and just one bogey in his round of 68. The five birdies were a season-high and were his most in a round since the opening round of the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate last April. He vaults into the Top 10 at 4-under through 36 holes.
Four Buckeyes are tied for 32nd at 1-over par for the tournament. Adam Wallin made three birdies and an eagle in his round of 3-under 69 on Tuesday. Jacob Tarkany, who is playing as an individual, carded an even-par 72 while Maxwell Moldovan had 74 and Neal Shipley had a 76.
Freshman Jack Vojtko rebounded from a tough opening round with a 1-over 73 on Tuesday.
The Buckeyes are paired with Notre Dame and Mississippi State in the final round. The trio will be the first wave off the back nine at beginning at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
