COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 1 Ohio State women's ice hockey team hosts Bemidji State for a two-game series this weekend at the OSU Ice Rink. The Buckeyes (22-2-0, 19-1-0 WCHA) and Beavers (4-20-2, 2-8-2 WCHA) will play at 6 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday.

Ohio State takes its final regular season trip to Minnesota to play Minnesota State Feb. 9-10 in Mankato. The Buckeyes and Mavericks face off Friday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. ET and Saturday Feb. 10 at 3 p.m. ET. Both games will be streamed on B1G+.

Buckeyes in a Nutshell
- Ohio State picked up two more conference wins last weekend against St. Cloud State. The Buckeyes swept the Huskies with 4-2 and 3-2 wins on the road to take the regular season series, 3-1.
- Hadley Hartmetz was named the league's Defender of the Month. She led the team with a +11 on ice last month. She tallied a point in all but one game, including a goal in the team's 6-1 win over Minnesota. The graduate student the Buckeye blue line that held the team's opponents, all top-10 teams, to an average of just .83 goals per game to improve to 6-0-0 in 2024.
- Raygan Kirk earned Goaltender of the Month honors after recording four wins in four starts against top-10 teams and posting two shutouts. She allowed just one goal in the series against the then-ranked No. 2 Gophers and is now 12-1-0 on the year and is tied for first in the WCHA with five shutouts this season.
- Graduate forwards Jenn Gardiner and Hannah Bilka continue to lead the team with 27 points this year. Freshman forward Joy Dunne paces the team with 13 goals. Hartmetz has recorded a team-high 18 assists.
- The Buckeyes are one of the deepest teams in the country, with every player contributing on the score sheet. While the team ranks third nationally in assists (185), goals (111) and points (296), the Buckeyes have five players with over 20 points this season and 15 of 19 skaters have over 10 points on the year.
- Kirk is third in the country with five shutouts this season. She posted a shutout in the Buckeyes' 3-0 win over Minnesota Duluth and in the Buckeyes' 7-0 win over Minnesota to start the calendar year. She leads the league, and is second nationally, in win percentage (.917) with a record of 12-1-0. The Ste. Anne, Manitoba native is second in the country in goals against average (1.101).
- Ohio State's players rank among the best nationally in career records. Amanda Thiele is second among active goaltenders with a .856 career win percentage. Bilka (95), Gardiner (88) and Zanon (84) rank in the top-10 of active career assist leaders. Gardiner and Zanon are among the top-10 active career goal scorers with 65 and 60, respectively.
- The Buckeyes have not allowed more than two goals in the last 16 games. The team leads the league in scoring defense (1.33).
- The rosters for the February Rivalry Series between the United State and Canada have been release and four Buckeyes have gotten the call. Madison Bizal and Clair DeGeorge will suit up for Team USA and Emma Maltais and Natalie Spooner will play for Team Canada. Bizal is set to make her national team debut.
- The first two games between the Buckeyes and Beavers were played in Bemidji, Minn. with Ohio State winning both games, 9-1 and 5-0.
- Ohio State is 9-1-0 against Bemidji State in the last 10 matchups and has won the last nine matchups.
- Dunne recorded her first career goal and hat trick in the Buckeyes' 9-1 win over the Beavers in the fall.
- Ohio State has not given up more than one goal to Bemidji State in the last six games.
- Olivia Mobley is one point shy of 100 for her career. She has tallied 14 points this season for the Buckeyes.
- Bilka needs just five more assists to earn 100 career helpers. She is one of eight active NCAA players with 90+ assists. The Coppell, Texas native is seventh among active players with 154 career points.
